My DISCO TD5 has started giving less power when taking off till after two to three hundred metres of desperate pressing on the accelerator, of course with thick dark smoke from the exhaust and less acceleration . The same also happens when going up slopes in mid gears but it never used to happen before. There is an obvious leak on the Pressure Regulator and that needs to be replaced. My garage also suggest the EGR must be replaced. Is this likely to get rid of the problem or could it be something worse? I do not want to hear about injectors having to be replaced .

dont replace the EGR .... blank it off with a £5 plate from ebay..(plenty of info on here: use the search)

I will wait for Uncle CharlesY to come by but for the meantime could someone know where one can get a good price for the EGR Blanking kit and a straight-through intercooler pipe? Of course don't forget to guide me on a good price for the Fuel pressure Regulator as well .
