I know this will be contraversial but does anybody like the idea of a discovery (300 series) front end on a range rover classic body. I have seen one done somewhere but i have searched on here and google and a couple of other forums and cant find any pics. I love the front of my disco but I love the split tailgate of the range rover.

Does anybody know anyone that has done it?

Good idea, I like the Disco but hate the back end so that would make a nice looking vehicle:)

I prefer the arse on the rangey as well. I'd prefer the range rover classic full stop though if I'm honest!

The one thing I miss about my estate was the tailgate could be used as a shelter....handy that. Just have to get wet stood at the rear of the landy. :)

I appreciate the honesty. I wouldn't do it to a decent Range Rover and in all honesty I probably lack the skill to do it anyway.

So would everyone like a split tailgate for the Discovery?

I must admit that I would.

I would definitely like a split tailgate. My mate used to have a Range Rover Classsic and it was great for camping and brewing up on greenlaning trips etc. I understand peoples objections to butchering one to achive this idea but its no different to bobtailing one i guess. Maybe find one thats got rotten inner wings to do it to.
