Hi guys, I have just changed the drivers side brake disc and pads on my 3.9 '96 disco, but on doing the passenger side; I cannot remove the bottom calliper securing bolt, it looks like some one has previously had a go at this as the bolt head is quite chewed up and the socket just slips off.
any ideas on how to remove this bolt please?

Hi

I did my wife's car last weekend and would not have managed if I had of a set of hex sockets they should get it off without any damage.

thank you for the replies guys, but I've already tried those two options. any other ideas please?

mushrooming head then hammering 1/2 inch bihex socket is the best way ,when socket slips again hammer some more and retry ,dont go too far with mushrooming so that socket cant be hammered on it will work eventually ,hammering will loosen bolt

If the head has already been rounded I think that there is a great chance of the extractor working ... It did on mine!

Twas just a suggestion, you understand :D
