Had a quick look around and cant see any answer for this......

Do any of you guys that scrap motors know what the aprox weight of a Disco chassis is?
I am in the process of stripping the "convertable" and will have to scrap the chassis ( and some of the body) after I have stripped anything salvageable off of it.
Just trying to find out the scrap value - ie weight.
 
have you sold all the bits off?

if you havent... do you still have the brackets that secure the rear seat belts to the boot floor?
 
that's the ones Gratch posted! I need 2 for my mate.... he finally got his disco back after 18months in the garage (dont ask...he didnt have money to pay, so it was getting done between jobs)
 
hooo...hope they come out easy though, the ones one my mate we had to grind them out...

No idea - what - £60 an hour to remove ??? :D
Are yu in a hurry? Will try and remove this sat. If I can get them out, make me an offer.
 
Naa, not in a hurry, well, kind of, we've put the rear seat belts back on, just waiting for those 2 bits to bolt it down...

I'll ask my mate how much he wants to offer and I'll let you know
 
do you still have the door barrels? a bit at the back of the door barrel broke, so its quite hard to lock it with the key...
 
Just as a matter of interest, did you keep track of how much money you've recovered from breaking the Disco? And how much is it (so far) and what bits?
 
How come? Where have you advertised the parts? Are you chasing high prices or keen to get rid of the stuff quickly?
