I find that at the prices of Paddocks kit and especially as they will deliver to me in France for a £5 !!!! I order 2 or 3 kits at a time (and only have one delivery charge) so I'm never out of stock. Incidently, the TD5 kit of 4 filters comes in at £16+vat so I usually order a couple of them as well.

Also if any of my mates need them, I have stock :D:D:D:D:D.

So, now do you understand why lots of people buy from Paddocks. Incidently the oil and fuel filters are Britpart, but the air filter is usually Coopers or some other branded name.

Well, I take it all back chaps. At £7.50 thats a bloody keen price. Loss leader perhaps?

Still won't be fitting ****part to mine though. Not unless there is no other option.
 
t b h before 12 months ago i have always had series landys and have always used paddocks if i needed parts for them and touch wood never had a prob with them hence the reason i always use paddocks, 12 months ago i bought my first disco a d1 300tdi which is the one in question which was last seviced by the dealer before we bought it and since then i have sold it to a friend and its due another service now, so because i have always used paddocks i just automaticly orded them online with paddocks so don't really know how much landy filters are from LR but the filters i have ordered from paddocks are genuine ones but would imagine they will be cheeper than LR.

Buggers charged me over a tenner for two filter sets delivered to Spain!:eek: (Still pretty cheap all in mind!:cool::))

I listed the prices that I get charged from my local main dealer earlier in this thread. Those were for a Disco 1 TDi.

yep got it yeh they seem to be the same as paddocks, its if they would have had them in though, i have a d2 td5 rad cap on order for the past 4 weeks :eek: keep getting fobed off with we can get you one from land ranger down the road if you are desperate, as i was desperate i bought one from land ranger but they gave me one in a blue box so i cringed and the guy said i can order one land rover in stockport if you want so i said i have just come from there for the same part and ordered one there.

I dont ever use main dealer unless I have to, last time was for a dog guard fitting kit for a p38 (couldnt find anyone else selling them) when they told me they could fit it aswell for £80 an hour labour I paid for the kit before laughing at them and have never returned.

As far as service items from paddocks goes, have just noticed they do coopers oil filter £2.25+vat and bosch fuel filter £4.45+vat so I think next time its due I will spend the extra (around £11 for all 3 inc vat). Im not keen on britpart either but the price is much better than oem and my filters get changed about every 6 months / 6000 miles.
 
as it happens my filters have just come and they are all LR parts as i asked for, now i can get it done at the weekend ready for the jollies :D.

Looks like they gave you at least 33% discount on the labour rate.
