Hi All
l have a disco 3 l need help with please. The problem is the airbag light is on on the dash now looking under the drivers seat l found a wire that go's to the multi plug under the seat had the insulation strip off.
The said wire goes into the multi plug the other side goes to the pretensioner looks like where the seat belt clips in, But the light is still on if the wire has touched the metal frame what could the damage be i.e pretensioner , or is there a fuse somewhere i need to change to get the light out.

Even if you have fixed the fault by putting the wire back in the correct place ??? you will possibly have to clear the fault in the ECU using a specialist diagnostic equipment.

Could be cheaper to get it all sorted by a Main Dealer or a specialist with the correct equipment.

A D3 is a very complicated car and you need to be skilled or lucky as well as have the correct diagnostic equipment for DIY repairs. However many owners can do this, but many, many more can not.

Use a Main Dealer, or Experienced independent D3 / Land Rover specialist, or possibly try the Disco3.couk forum, they are a dedicated site for D3 and will give very good advice
