I'm driving along, radio on, turn lights on & sterio goes off for a split second & warning chimes 3 times. This has never happend before.

Any ideas my fellows, I'm taking that its an electronic problem for the boys in the independents to find. Bloody hell, I hate electric faults, they cost lots of beer tokens.

3 chimes is for an attempt to change suspension height when not 'permitted' by vehicle speed or other issue.

I ain't to good with this magic voodoo stuff we call electric but sounds like an earthing problem. Possibly wires worn through and arking across. Have you fitted any thing new recently?

Earthing or a loose contact some place would kind of make sense since there was circuit switching going on at the time, it's pretty hard to hit the raise / lower button by accident when turning on the lights and that is the only thing that would provoke three chimes normally.

Hi guys, I found a loose earth connection in the middle of the bulkhead, just underneath the front windscreen with the help of you guys of course. I have driven 35 miles with no issues, so I will see what the old duck drives like tomorrow morning when she's cold. Hopefully it's sorted, much thanks all.
