I'm looking to replace my classic with a P38 or a disco 2.

I can't understand why a Disco2 V8 is worth more than a similar aged P38 Vogue.

Is it because people are worried about running costs and maintenance??
Am I missing something??

Any thoughts anyone??!!

Used prices are often all over the show, just look at Defender prices for the same age vehicles you are looking at.

A p38a is an older model, so it's further down it's depreciation curve than the D2. That and the points you've mentioned.

I was watching a lovely p38 on ebay.

51 plate, great spec and great condition. I was the only bidder at 2500!!! Sadly it had a reserve.
