Hi just about to pick up my first landy - discovery 300tdi. very excited about getting out and playing!!! going through various potential mods and was wandering what do you do about in coming water and the 'comfortable interior'? Is there any sort water proofing or is it a case of stripping out footwell and boot carpet?

You can just strip out the carpets since they don't smell great when damp there are other methods of soundproofing but as long as what you use is water resistant and easily removable your ok.

Yep the smell was the main concern, I need to keep the wife on side , I'll rip out the carpets, rust proof and hunt down some heavy duty rubber matts for the sound - not sure where to start with the mods! This has to some how stay a family car due to limited funds and storage space for running a 2nd car on top of a works van. Where's a good place to start for light green laning, also thinking about a snorkel for some of our longer tidal roads do you need to do anything at the exhaust end or is engine pressure enough?
