Sometimes, but then sometimes ah use Gunk or that Swarfega stuff... or if it's the discs then brake cleanerwud that be petrol then, Buster?

those laser kits are pants - if you cant stretch to a pucker flaring kit (100s) take the old pipe to you little local parts man and he'll do them for a couple of quid - they'll all have perfect flares
those cheap flare kits are much more trouble than they are worth
no doubt someone will be along shortly to claim they have been using theirs for years and have never had a problem - but you wont find a cheapo flaring tool in a pucker garage or workshop
