the thing is it fits into a standard casing were as i have been told 4 pin diff have to have modified or newer casings this diff fits in my 200 tdi casing

thats because p38 4 pin diffs where easier to get a it back ,that is real 4 pin diff to suit defender or disco or rrc

just took it out of mi old axle and was going to put it in the new 1 wile i can afford an air locker but it just looked a little different and just wanted to no wat it is as lads told me 4 pin diffs dont fit in standard casings but looks like i have got 1 made for a defender

I have the same Diff on the front of mine. My ex Mod 90 came with them front and rear. I overhauled them both and swapped the rear out for a Trutrac so have a spare 4 pin sat in my garage fully overhauled. I understand that they are as tough as old boots!

Whats it worth?

The centre is 240 Plus Vat NEW from ashcroft people they worth alot and they are if in good nick. Second hand trials scene up to 250 built up maybe slightly more. Saxokid one needs to be rebuilt IMO crownwheel has a little rust surface which would bug the hell outter me. It should get a few quid but I wouldn't pay alot for it. P38 ones do come up occasionally from 40 quid to 120ish and the internals can be uprated quite cheaply £130-£140 to KAM which do take lots and lots of abuse spinning up opposite wheels. Downside is you need to modify the casing but thats not too difficult. Price wise I like the P38 ones (I'm a cheap stake). I'd offer you £50 for it Saxokid but I have some ashcroft shafts to buy this month and you will get more from somone else who doesn't mind that its a bit rusty/sitting in water I'm sure.

Anyone know somone that wants a Salisbury rear axle? I need some space so I guess it'll be stripped and weighed in if not.
