Chaps, Should the diff lock sign be illuminated on a 300 tdi disco when the ignition is turned on, then go off when the engine is started ( assuming the diff lock is off )?Cheers, Vince.

Thanks Discool, Found the fault. After removing the diff lock linkage to free two seized joints, I managed to pull the wires from the switch without noticing.

A 'Top Tip' there Vince If the wires are detached from the switch the dash lamp illuminates.
As some say, "every day is a school day".
