I replaced the seals on my Lucas one (looks like you have a 200/300 tdi if you have a Bosch pump) while it was on the engine - was a pain to do, and used orings from B&Q (as they were all i could get my hands on at the time) and 2 years later its still working - cost me £0.90!!

An update on my defender issues. Ok it's passed its MOT, yeah! The diesel injection pump was sent to Diesel Bob along with all injectors. My mechanic wanted them checked based on the white smoke during over run. The pump was fixed, the injectors were knackered and were refurbed. Top guy Diesel Bob, very helpful, nice chap. Pump was 185 and injectors were 35 each plus vat.

New glow plugs were added to my landy and the timing was tweaked. Oh my god, no white smoke, a small amount of dark smoke on v.heavy acceleration, and the landy now goes like stink.

After a lot of time and effort its working well and running nicely.

Will post some piccies of the engine shortly as these were asked for a while back.
