Hi, first an update, got oil pump rebuilt using new bronze bush and oil seal, refitted, installed new rear seal, where transfer box fits, new gearbox filter and refitted both g/box and t/box, filled with 9 ltrs atf dextron111, bearing in mind torque converter was also drained and checked for cracks, ran car, goes well but wont kickdown at any time or speed, engine revs to 3.5 -4.2 then seems to stop back off throttle and cruise car is ok will accelerate smoothly through box. Does the diesel p38 have a throttle position sensor and if so where is it? many thanks.:)

Throttle position sender is connected to pedal. Kickdown is electronic and controlled by EDC ECU. There is NO mechanical kickdown on the diesel.

Thanks for quick reply's, does this mean its a computer job, if so is there anybody near me that can help, live near wakefield, again ta
