Hi every one,
First the bulbs are behind green filters ( they are in my 1979 110CSW).
I purchased a full set of 501 LEDs for mine and they looked 100 time brighter, so bright it blurred the green out to almost white.
Unfortunately they only lasted about six weeks before they l died. I'm not sure if it's because they got hot or what it was.
It may have just been cheep LEDs as they only cost £8 for four, you could do with five to do them all.

1 in fuel gauge
1 in temp gauge
1 in volt gauge
Mine where cheap LEDs so buy better. I'm waiting fir the next auto jumble to see the rep from bolt on bits to see what they suggest.

Please excuse my ineptitude on the phone, will somebody link it properly.
They fitted fine and I checked each one in turn to make sure the polarity was right.
They are exactly as per the photo fitted and perfect at night without being too bright.
I think it was £7 the set. You need one for each gauge and two for the speedo.
They have been in a few weeks and nothing has popped yet.

They get dusty over time and a good clean will bring them back to standard, same with lamp lenses, stick em in the dishwasher and they come up like new

Landowner is absolutely right, iv carried out both his suggestions and it works.
I removed all my indicator, side and brake light lenses as they looked twenty years old, popped them in the dishwasher (while wife was out) and they look like new. Refitted them with a good lube of silicon grease, keeps everything out.
Iv changed my brake lights and side lights for LEDs and they both look good and have lasted ages. I'd like to change the indicators to LEDs too but iv heard that it's expensive as you need loads of extras to be added, something about how they flash.
If I find a set of LEDs that work and last in the dials I'd let you all know.

Doddle of a job, 6 screws to undo the binnacle then unplug the speedo cable to give you some extra room.
The LEDs have polarity so as you swap each one flick your lights on to check it is fitted the right way round. (Don't wanna put it all back together then see some aren't working)
Only prob with the ones I got was once fitted the black plug didn't seem to push quite as far home as the originals, prob because the top is flat rather than domed.
I just put a bit of insulation tape around it to be sure they don't vibrate out.
Just need it to go dark to see the full effect now.
I only needed 4 as the one for my clock was a different bulb with a green sleeve over it.

Lately we all seem so eager to jump down anyone's throate who dares to ask a question rather than using the search facility. I quite enjoy reading posts on topics that have previously been covered, you often get a new perspective. NB...my door locks are the spawn of the devil!

Common issue, personally I upgrade mine to the bright white and it's made an enormous difference for only £7.
