could it be the metal dust cover thing on the tbox,
iv had that screaming before and took me weeks to figure it out

I had a noise i coudnt track down finally found it was the brake pads rattling around, the retaining springs weren't holding them back, even when i braked the noise was still there.
Just a thought.
