Finland Calling

Hello fellow tractor drivers
Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere - I couldn't find anything and searches keep bringing up towing capacities!
My question is: is it possible to get a Defender that's OVER 3.5 tonnes gross weight? I have heard that there is a heavy duty version and that some people have something like 3499 kg on their logbooks.
Does anyone know if they are actually rated at that and can they be upped to tip over the magic 3500kg line?
The reason I ask: while over in the UK people probably tend to try and stay below 3.5t to stay out of operator's licencing, tachos etc, in Finland it would be useful to be able to go a bit over. Car taxes are very high, but commercial vehicles less so; yet a a 'lorry' is allowed to have extra seats fitted. So basically, as I have a C licence, a diesel engined vehicle grossing OVER 3500 kg would make a vehicle I could use with the family and still save a shedload on tax every year.
If there really is a Defender that is 3.5t and can properly take that weight, it may be possible over here to get it bumped up over the magic mark. Even better, of course, if the paperwork already says 3550 kg or more when it comes over from Britain.
Any info or links to info appreciated!
