I've seen them on e-bay,

Like this one: Land Rover Defender Stainless Steel Dash Cover / Trim NEW | eBay

Are they any good and how do they fix to the dash clocks etc?

I bought one for a car i had once and it looked ****e, it stood too proud.

Anyone got pictures of some fitted to there defender?

My instrument cluster is all cracked and damaged, so i thought if i fit one of these surrounds it will solve the issue, otherwise i need new cluster.

CheAp and tacky ,although I did buy a ally gear changer and diff lock knob...... Wrong move bloody freezing in the winter .

Cheap & tacky?? Where's the proof?

How can you say they are cheap and tacky, when you dont have one or pictures of one?

Stainless steel is not cheap by any means, but it may look ****e thats why i want to see one fitted!

What a knob! always use a leather steering wheel and gear knobs!

Because I've seen them in other knob heads landy's that's why,it looks out of place against the black plastic, leather steering wheel what's wrong with the one fitted, when you go off roading and might have a miss hap enjoy bashing a part of your body on your fancy leather steering wheel, with it's hard ally spokes,I will stick to my softish protective one thank you ps I don't know many defenders that have leather gear change knobs they are plastic aren't they?

Here if it rocks your boat at least buy decent ones not cheap eBay tack.

I always use leather for gearknobs and steering wheels whatever the vehicle, always find them the most comfortable imo.

i'm inclined to think the same as you that stainless surrounds wont look right against the plastic back grounds, thats why i have asked for some one to show pictures so i can decide for myself.

Definitely aint going to spend a fortune on tat that you have linked me to, would rather spend a tenner for the one of ebay.

If no one can show what these look like then i will buy one just to show others how good or bad they are!

I fitted a smaller diameter steering wheel, so i have more elbow room, cuase defenders dont leave too much space to turn the wheel imo, and its a bouns being leather too!
