hi everyone, im sure this has been asked already,but i cant seem to find anything on the forum,or google,so here goes! i have just won a set of defender seats from a 1983 110 landrover,they are the sliding ones, but was just curios as to weather they would fit my little 88 inch truck cab? they are abit more compfy,and they are adjustable! has anyone done this before,if so how are they to live and drive with,and is it worth doing?

Mates just done this work well as are comfortable

You will have headrests, and they may be more comfy, but what adjustment do you think you will get in a truck cab?

Unless you are 5 1/2 foot or less the seat position will be the same.

I thought about doing this mod but at 6ft 2 sliding seats wont make the slighest bit of difference!! Im resigned to the fact that my hands are permanently dirty and Im crippled with landy back.....

okay,well thanks for the replys, will probably weigh it up in my mind,and go from there, im getting em for nowt,so dont bother me if they dont go well,will get rid of the cab anyways,so will be able to adjust em back abit more after! thanks for the replys tho!

I fitted Orion seats in my series 3 lwb, made new mounts so the seat went further back..

Was great and very comfy...

well i was going to cut the back of the tub,where it sticks up,and bolts to the seatbox,so the seats can be slid back,i did think about raising them,but then my legs will be too close to the steering wheel! the only real probolem i will have is getting a balance between how forward they are,to how far backwards the back of the seats are! was thinking about putting a defender steering wheel on it aswell as they are slightly less dished! after another year on the road,im going to tuck her away,and start a rechassis job,and get her sorted properly then,body work,interior,and machanicals! after iv finnished ma rangerover of coarse! thanks for the input!
