as in discovery box can this be done?

I did this on the rrc, disco one just bolted in place of the long rrc stick.

i cant see how ,defender has a longer selector shaft and a quadrant short stick has a yoke

you want to turn a defender box to disco use, youd need to shorten the selector shaft and drill a locating hole in the shaft fit the yoke

I thought Ashcroft or someone did some sort of conversion kit modification thing?

they do an extension piece to allow disco box to be fitted with a defender top

defender to disco isnt straight forward as disco to defender

My rrc has the r380 as standard, just loosen clamp of it comes and slide disco one on and tighten clamp. 300tdi Rrc and 300tdi disco were pretty much same vehicle.
Why would you want a short stick on the defender?
Has it been modified and box now in different place or do you have a disco box already fitted, good to know why.

rrc and disco are the same box,you dont need to swap anything
