Hi guys

I want to improve my shabby instrument cluster on my 1989 defender is it possible to get a more modern one and install it ?

I have been trying to brighten it all up for a while now.

501 5 SMD LED ERROR FREE CANBUS BLUE SIDELIGHT BULBS LAND ROVER RANGE P38 HSE | eBay

bought these and there bright but they light up all the cracks around the edges as well ....

4x 501 T10 W5W LED WHITE XENON Look sidelight bulbs UK | eBay

bought them as well but they dont fit as the little metal peice on the top dosent fit into the back of the plastic bulb holder....

feel like :violent: all the sellers on ebay !!!

but i would say no having had all the clocks and everything apart seems like best to keep it basic !

Anyone els got a seller of them bulbs to brighten things up ?

Td5 clocks look so much nicer, and work a lot better too.

The very bright white led's for the gauges and speedo will make them light up blue due to the green filter inside the gauges/speedo and the led for the dash clock will light it up white as it doesn't have a green filter (the normal bulb wears a green "condom" light filter)

Makes a hell of a difference though - being able to read the gauges/speedo/clock properly at night

Fooking better had do! Or I just wasted £8 :( :p

Forgot to add: the led's for the gauges and speedo are the capless type - led's are polarity sensitive so if you plug em in and they don't light up - remove the led turn it 180 degrees and replace :)
