Hi All,

I'm looking for a pair of rubber end caps for the 90's front bumper as mine are missing!

Looked on the bay and was shocked that they were £40! Does anyone know of a good source for them or even have any that they'd like to sell?

Thanks,

Conner

Yup these are expensive for what they are!

You could always post in the wanted section.

Oh yeah you need to have posted said number before posting wanted ads. DoH!!

If you want a bargain eBays probably your best option.

Just had a quick sneak look on Google there's a few out there, still over £30 I'm afraid - Good luck sir. Let me know if you find some as I do too!!

Thanks for the response LANDYFOX, thought no one was going to reply! It does seem that that is the going rate, my only hope is that someone has some led in their garage in the way that they want £20 for!

I only noticed mine were missing yesterday when i parked next to another 90, otherwise i'd still be wondering why there were two holes in the end of the bumper.

Don't suppose you could post in the wanted section on behalf of both of us? Maybe someone else has a cheaper source they could share?

Thanks again!

A lot of defenders run without them..such as mine! Never bothered me.

I don't even know what they are actually for...are they purely cosmetic?? Surely not on a defender.

Probably to make it marginally more pedestrian friendly. As if a thin bit of rubber will make much difference

Pretty sure they full fill no purpose at all, which is why i can't justify spending that much money on them!

My bumper has nasty scuffs that would be covered perfectly by the rubber caps along with the two holes that are visible without them!

This sounds like a perfect excuse to buy a new bumper should get a non winch 2nd hand bumper for not much more than that on ebay.

They were put on so the front-end met (then) new regs (mid to late 1990's?).
Practically any bumper you buy now has the mounting holes pre-drilled whether it be painted or galv, doesn't mean you have to fit the end-caps though.
