Marvellous. My clutch has gone in the ex mod na defender today. Looks like the fork arm has been punched throu by the ball of slave Guess I need a engine crane now to change it.

Has it a removeable gearbox cross member?

Not too bad then, gearbox tunnel out, undo everything, remove crossmember, drop box down and replace arm.

If you remove seats it'll be easier to line up gearbox to refit with straps and stuff through the seatbox. Much easier with a mate to help drop down and refit but a lot quicker than stripping out the cab to lift the box out or disconnecting and lifting out engine/rad/front panel etc

Yes removble just checked. Right ok thanks. Will hire a engine crane I might do the crank shaft seal while I am at it. Hd harden fork and new slave thingy. I will take photos and etc and post it
