Hey guys
want to do a 2" body lift on the defender.
now before we get all the people saying why and saying its pointless ill explain why... i need more clearance for the wheels to flex and my rear prop is only 550mm long and with the 2" lift the standard joints are topped out.
so any suggestions guys?

Move the back axle back, and how is your transfer box mounted and what is your drive train angle.
When Ive fitted landys with cummins I use a rakeway transfer box shortening kit, and clocked the rear axle ,made sure drive line angle is spot on etc.

thanks pressbrake for a more intelligent suggestion.
and ive just remounted it up higher to get the boxes and engine sitting pretty... also on brackets picking up all the bolts this time with additional top bracing, all made from 10mm plate and the drivers side Tbox mount uses the original chassis bracket and the passenger side uses a shortened modified gearbox bracket, both picking up the original holes in the chassis.

i tried contacting Rakeway for a price and availiability on that kit and to also see where the speedo drive went after... i thought it would be the ideal opportunity to fit an XBrake at the same time... i got no reply from them after three attempts so i gave up tbh

Keep trying to get through to neil at rakeway they are the only real(not rich boy shopkeeper type)4x4 specialists about.
Rakeway also make a superior x brake type thing.

what way is the x-brake superior?
how much did you pay for yours and how long ago?
where does the speedo drive go?
how did you clock the rear axle?

abody lift on a fender looks horrible you will have to cut and refit the rear xmember higher up,or ive seen some peeps put box section ontop of xmember and it looks horrid

i was going to make a joining plate between the xmember and tub and run box to carry the tub load to the chassis...
