Hi.
Ive got a defender 300TDi with a Safari Snorkel on the outside. Whatever numpty that had it before didnt connect it up and it was just for show. During the summer I bought a piece of flexible pipe from Ebay. The type that is used for boat engine compartment blowers. Its very strong as it has wire spiraling its length and quite flexible. I connected it to the section of pipe after the valve at the bottom of the existing pipe that lets any water that get in, drop out. (Sorry if thats confusing).
Anyway, the problem I have come accross with this is that this pipe gets rubbed against by the steering column. Over time this has worn through.
Anyone done anything similar on a DIY Snorkel project ? Where would be a good place to route the pipe ?
