Are the front door stays adjustable without taking any trim off? N/S door not staying open, all the others ok.

lol yorky if thats all thats wrong with your wagon your a very lucky guy!!!

its 2 screws to remove the trim, whip it off + have a look ;)

None of my three doors stay open on my 58 plate. Best way is to park it the right way on a slope so it stays open if you want it to. That way I can get two to stay open sometimes.

Seems to me the spring and stay mechanism is not behind the door card it's in the passenger footwell, but wondered if you could get at it, if it's adjustable, without taking the lower dash apart?

lol @ oldun!

yorky, is this a front or second row door?

when you open the door m8 the stay mech is;

on a front door; a foot or so up from the bottom edge -remove the black plastic cowl in the footwell, should be able to see if anythings worn....

on second row its on the bottom -this will req removing the door card..... epic as the little clips will break!

Thanks Deaftonewonder. Lots of other things wrong but this is the one that drives the missus bonkers! It's a 3 door, so front row. The whole of the footwell fascia is one piece right up to the front windscreen. No access panel so might have to take the whole lot off to see it properly.
