Hi to you all,
Been looking for a while on and off, then heard at work that someone was selling a 1981 series 3 in fairly good nick. Looked at it today and was really pleased with it, so it would have been rude not to say yes :D

Picking it up next week....

Welcome. Come and join us series III owners. Don't worry about homework, to late for that, just get yourself a Haynes manual and the forum will do the rest.
 
Thanks for the replies I've pick it up and couldn't take the grin off my face all the way home. Had a good drive back home including traffic jams, motorways and country lanes. Was funny jumping back in my normal car to move it after driving for about 90mins in the LR that will take a little time to get use to!
One question I have is about hazard lights? I've found a picture, in one of the manuals, of the switch in the centre of the dashboard but can't find the wiring diagram for it? Was it standard or an option?

That's VERY nice.
I know that it's boring, but before anything else, get some serious security fitted before it vanishes.
