Have looked at other thread. Engine is knackered crank looks beyond grind.. You could refurb it but mega bucks to do that. You need to start looking for replacement engine.

(there were no shells in no.2)

the engine hunt is on, waiting on phonecalls coming back. (10mins they said, 2 hours ago )

as said in other thread, wanting to know options on other engines retrofit in place and what needs / how to do.
p38's aint me strong point yet.....

Any M51 from a Omega, BMW. Few things to change sump, injection pump top. Maybe a few sensors, other than that fairly straight forwards. Problem being replacement is an unknown quantity, unless you can see and hear it running before it is stripped out.
