Anyone have any idea where I might be able to get the end part of the dash which is missing in the attached picture. It's the piece that covers the heater controls.

Its the bit that the gauge surround bolts too
Ahh, I see now.
In the PIC it looks like the plastic bit ( nearest the screen clamp) is melted and broken where the sliders poke through. Small phone means small PIC plus me eyes ain't what they were.

Looking at the photo I don't think it's the Binnacle Mount that he wants but the Dash Trim Panel LHD (MWC9339PMA), £8.44 inc VAT.

Try a Land Rover dealer?

They carry most parts back to and including 300tdi, the issue is finding a parts guy who knows about Defenders.
As it's difficult to order parts like this when they have no idea what you are talking about.

The part you need is MTC2808 (cowl) its the plastic part that your instrument panel mounts to. It breaks easily because its plastic. I just replaced mine with one I got from a salvage yard.

I think mike needs to confirm which part it is that he wants to replace.

If it is the Binnacle Mount then don't even bother with the LR part, the Raptor replacement is cheap and does the job far better, if it is the Dash Trim Panel (which is what I understood it to be from his description) then that is cheap and available from any dealer or part supplier.

hi Guys thanks for all the replies, much appreciated. It is just the end piece I want.. But I will check out Raptor replacements. The whole dash could do with a tidy up. I'm hoping to go the LRO show next week. Maybe I might be able to pick something up there. Its a bit difficult trying to find LR suppliers here in France.

As it is just the end piece, don't forget it is only £8 as a brand new part however I concede that postage to France could increase the cost considerably.

What your describing as just the "End Piece" is part number MTC 2808 shown on the parts breakdown above as item 1. The picture you uploaded clearly shows that part as broken. As others have posted, if you want somthing a little more robust, go with the Raptor Engineering replacement.
