I have a td4 freelander 06
After turning off the ignition key,the dashboard and parking lights will not turn off.
I try to turn the ignition on and off for a while and lights will in the end go off.
What is the problem?

I think there is a copper contact in the ignition barrel could be fulty or dirty?

You maybe able to take apart the ignition barrel and see if its broke or dirty? Worth a try

Take off the steering cover to access the end of the ignition barrel, undo two screws to remove the switch and disconnect the wiring then get a very small file or glass paper between the contacts to clean

There are about 5 contacts all together. Easy fix

Thank you for the tips.
The problem went away for a while,but it is back now.
Should I replace the switch and is there another thing to try,just to turn off the lights?
Do not want to get drained for power:screaming_bug_eye_f

Problem solved.
Had to replace the driving light relay.

Happy again!
