Without driving, how is the cruise control tested?

check for split vac pipe- no pipe no cruise

Petrol or Diesel????

Petrol uses Vac Pipes and a Vac Pump, Diesel uses the EDC (Electronic Diesel Control)

Petrol, 4.6. Replaced pipes, checked diaphragm and pump, okay

Check the CC brake switch. The p38 has two brake switches on the pedal. One for the lights and one with the eleilctrical stop signal for the CC that also has a vent port in it to relieve the vacuum pressure.
