I'm seriously thinking of getting a 2nd D2
(well, my first one is getting a bit raggedy)

But some of the ones I see for sale don't have cruise control (even in the ES) which is something I would like.

Can the cruise control gubbins be easily transferred from one D2 to another?

If so, Would that still be the case if the donor were a manual and the recipient auto?

Fitted it to my Td5 commercial manual, just needed the dash switch and the wheel switch! I got a complete wheel off eBay cos mine was nasty but its just plug and play. Assume the auto would be the same? Just don't quote me:)

Did mine got kit off flebay fitted it in about half hour. Bottom right handside dash blank switch pull it out you will find the plug behind it then you have to take airbag off steering wheel remember to disconect battery let it sit for good half hour so airbag decharges then you should get a template with kit as you have to cut a hole inside of steering wheel for switch. All d2`s are ready to do this to

Yep, it's easy peasy to fit. Or to switch from one to another. The wiring is already in place so it's a case of cutting a hole for the steering wheel switch (use the wheel that's already cut as a guide if you don't buy another kit), then putting the switch on the wheel, in the dash and away you go!

Thanks everyone. If I get a D2 without cruise control I know I can transfer it from my old one. Now all I need is a new (to me) one!

Cheers
