Hi all, I am dealing with a noise for a month now but could not solve the issue.

As you see in the video, there is a noise noticable under 30mph, and goes away as I hit the brake pedal, comes back if I release the pedal. It is related to the speed, not engine rpms, and not noticable above 30mph.

What have been done so far:

Surfaced front discs
Cleaned & checked pads
Bleed the brake system
Checked hub bearings
Checked differentials for play, changed & greased UJs
Changed log nuts
Changed tires

Everything seems normal but I hear this noise:

Any ideas?

How much brake pad was left when you checked? Some pads have wear indicators that cause a squeak when the pads are over worn.

sticking caliper maybe:confused:

Checked for free movement (more than once actually) but they are working as they should..

Pads are Ferodo branded and not so old, I guess they are %30 worn (%70 left in other words).

What else can cause this noise other than brakes?

definatly brake problem if noise goes when applied & re-appears when released maybe worn caliper & pads not fitting snug allowing too much movement

If you still have the noise you can join Rachelkgr's band

I am trying to keep her on top condition because it is a daily driver and I need her. Any more ideas? Caliper piston repair kit & new pims are on the way, found a hidrolic press to take hub bearings out and will inspect them too..

I rebuilt the calipers with the repair set, changed pims, changed the pads while I am there and bleed the ?*!# brakes and it is not squeaking, at least for now..

I also have a very interesting noise in the cabin, have a video of it and will be asking in a new thread soon :D
