I want to get a socket for my crank pully on my 2.5NA so I can turn the engine over to do the valves, does anyone know what size it is?

1&5/8"AF. I could only get one with a 3/4" drive so had to get a 3/4"-1/2" reducer.

Thats for a 2.5Turbo.

Aye that will do, cheers, I will see if I can get a 1/2 so it goes straight on the 2foot power bar, failing that a reducer indeed.

Why not measure it across two opposite flats, using a caliper?
We can do that next time you're out here!

Inch and five-eighths AF it is, in decent Christian Imperial sizes.
That's 42.5 mm in funny foreign size.

At that size a half-inch square drive should be able to be found.

If your 2.5 is in a 5spd 90,all you need to do is stick it in 5th gear and jack the LH front wheel just clear of the ground. Then you can turn the wheel with your foot to get the engine to turn to exactly where you want it.
