I can't see this being difficult but i seem to remember a mate converting a corsa van into a car and having some problem with the dvla and his insurance company as it was registered as a car derived van and not as a car.

Nooo it was up for sale, somebody I know has been after a disco for ages, saw an absolute beaut , when he got in touch with the seller he was informed it was a commercial . he couldn't tell when he first saw cit because of the blacked out windows. He just asked me if I knew anything about converting which I didn't so I posted on here. Sorry I didn't make that clear in the first place, all done in a bit of a rush.

I'm not 100% certain but AFAIK the floor pan is the same as a standard disco and the holes for the seats/belts are already there. This is based on the fact I want to do it the other way. Car to commercial and can't find a floorpan for a commercial anywhere. so I'm assuming it's because there isn't one.
If you want to put the rear windows back instead of the steel panels you'll either have to replace both rear side panels. or try to remove the window panels and adapt the opening to take the rear window glass.

I'm almost positive that the glass was still intact and that they had just blacked it out.

If it's got factory fitted glass in both rear windows (Rear seat area and rear load area) then it's never been a commercial. and if it has a steel panel in the rear load area then it's a commercial but the seats do go straight in. and you just need to decide wether to leave the steel panel or fit windows.
