quick one gents....

just finished fitting one side and the bottom of the damper is touching the axle? this shouldnt be like this should it?

I havent even tighten it much... should I slack it a bit till it doesnt touch the axle?

I'd cut 1/8" off the bottom of the protruding thread.

Yeah I cut mine down a bit with an angle grinder.

Yea as above many shocks do not fit std.

actually what I'll do is cut it off with a blade off a metal hacksaw... cant really be ****ed to get the whole thing out again

Exactly the same as the ones I have just fitted but I am waiting for M&M to get back to me to confirm if I cut it off will they still honour the warranty,as i have bought 2 sets for the 2 discos 1 set has been fitted and the other is still waiting for a burst of energy!
They said verbally to cut it off but am waiting for it in writting just in case!

Same here with my Terrafirma kit, had to cut about 1/2" off front shock studs.
