Hi guys,

I did a search on this and people said follow the RAVE. I would, except I can't make any sense of the dozens of PDF's, and have no idea where to even find the information. Making sense of that is a job in itself.

I'd like to know how to completely drain the cooling system, as it seems that when I changed my coolant after fitting a new hose I can see that the red coolant has mixed with the old green coolant which is no good so clearly just detaching the bottom hose is not enough. So if someone can help me quickly that would be awesome .

Stick a hose into the top pipe of the rad and flush, the do the same with the engine. This should shift the remaining old stuff.
Then bleed as per the manual, but do this from cold. It may take a few goes to get rid of all the air .

Sound advice flush through with clean water

You can only drain about 80% of the coolant - so I coupled everything up again and ran the engine for a few minutes to circulate the coolant then drained again.

I did it 4 times before I was happy that I was seeing clean water run out.

Make sure you do it with the heater set to max.
