On the choke cable there is a plastic unit there with 2 wires coming out. Can someone tell me what that is and what it does? Something to do with the yellow light on the dash! Choke thingo.

There used to be a switch attachment on the original choke cable which turned the dash light on to let you know that the choke was pulled out.

That's probably what the wires were/are for.

And on some models the wiring also went to a thermal switch in the head so the light only came on when the choke was out AND the engine was hot enough not to need it.
