Thing is that's the beauty of landies. You can do pretty much what you want to them yet they still retain that certain something even though they're all different. I hate it when people fit all the predictable fashion victim bits that make em all look the same.
 
Interesting post about the firm that does series chassis for coils jonno.
If the manufacturer has their chassis's 'type approved' then this would be a good way of making a series a coiler without losing the reg or having the SVA.
Other comments about buying a 90 though are still valid.
 
Yeh, them chassis are the Muts nuts,I know a few lads that have had them fitted and were well happy with the quality. If you want to keep the series look but have the advantage of coils get a designa chassis! Worth looking in to to see if they're type approved

No likely about it, it WILL need an SVA and WILL get a Q reg. You lose the point for the chassis as it is not to original spec, and likewise lose points for the suspension. The suspension mounts are part of the chassis, and as they are not as built...

Legally you *might* get away with some kind of bolt on coil mod, but I wouldn't bank on it.

As was said before, jusy buy a 90, you can even fit series panels to it if you want.
