I've a couple of issues with the springs on my 90 truck cab..

Firstly it sits high at the back or rather, considering it has 2" lift blocks all round, low at the front.

Secondly I occasionally bottom out the front suspension whilst laning, even at slow speed and without doing anything drastic.

I'm assuming it's got standard coils (Discovery axles) and I'm also assuming that the fronts have gone soft. I didn't really want to fit HD springs but I'm thinking maybe putting a pair of standard rear springs on the front might even things up a bit and stop it bottoming? Or is there a D1 or RRC combination I should be looking at?
 
Why not just go for standard ones, if they are old it is quite possible that yours are sagging?
 
Have you got the springs the wrong way round? With 2" loft it really should not bottom out. Don't fit HD springs if you do lots of off roading, standard should be fine, mine has HD Britpart and they rattle your teeth on rough tracks, great on road handling though.

That is an option yes.. just want to explore the possibilities before I spend any money..

Well tbh I'm convinced the front is lower than it was 6 months ago, like wot Litch said.. and I totally agree about HD springs my mate has them on his and it bloody uncomfortable.. life would be simple if someone made a set of +2" standard duty springs, but I'm cool with lift blocks..
 
personally don't know, i just remembered reading positive things on this and (cough other) forums about them.

also the isolators top/bottom front/back sound like a plan as well. the whole lot is pretty cheap, so might be worth trying them out.
 
I have standard front springs for a 90 on both the front and back of my 90.

I don't tow anything or have any weight in the back but it works well for RTV trials. Dampers are +2 inch jobbies.

I've got bearmach +2inch and they do on and off road versions. Off road are softer which I went for. They're noticeably softer than the HD springs (yellow so I'm assuming they where britpart) that I had installed before. When I was taking them out I also noticed that the front ones where 2 inch shorter than the ones I was putting on, but the back ones that I took off where the same size as the ones I was putting on. I did not fit the britpart springs, so I can only assume that they where +2 all round, but the added weight of the engine etc up front has made them sag more than the back springs.

Again - bear mach ones are brilliant, my landy is my everydayer and I drive her on road with no trouble, just a bit more leaning into corners but not scarily so! ;)
 
On the Gwyn Lewis Ebay website there are shims so you can make finer adjustments to level things up. Hmm. they look like they're more suitable for the back than the front though.
 
Maybe, bearing in mind the winch & bumper, I should put new standard 90 rears on the front (with the spacers obviously) to bring the front up and leave the rears as they are..?
 
I have standard springs on my 110. It is ex military, I don't know if that makes any difference. I can't recall it ever bottoming out, even when heavily loaded on a trip across Morocco in the desert. It is used as my daily and regularly does trips into the forest and green laning. The ride is quiet comfortable.
