hi my freelander is juddering badly when letting clutch out but only when pulling away and cold . clutch is Les then six month old dunk

Did you change the DMF at the same time? If not, that will be the problem and mass failure on the part of the person who didn't fit one! If this is the case the DMF going usually takes the clutch it it too!

as asbvoe really but you dont mention which engine

only the td4 has the dual mass flywheel

the 1.8 and 2.0 l series diesel has solid flywheel

The dual mass flywheel wouldn't judder as such, more of a single jerk or dunt on take up although I suppose depending on driving style etc it could. In any event there is something wrong in there. Sounds like a cheap clutch kit, poor fitting or some combination of both. Oil/ fluid contamination?
