Sending my td5 for a new clutch mines a bit heavy.have ordered a new 4 piece valeo oem.had a britpart in my last discovery not impressed. its got the spiggot bush in the kit is there anything else you would reccomend changing whilst box is off.will check flywheel once box is off.thanks in advance.

ive just ordered a hd clutch fork from mailorder 4x4,along with a borg and beck clutch kit.

replace the cylinder pushrod(FTC5199) and this clip which retaines the bearing http://www.lrseries.com/shop/product/li ... TAPLE.html too if u are already there
 
only just realised its td5 ,which doesnt need a heavy duty release arm like tdis as has cast arm ,why would you change push rod ?
 
u will be amazed to see how it worns on the release lever end... mine was at least 2mm shorter when i replaced the clutch...and that plastic clip becomes soft in time... and it's the only thing which retaines the bearing
 
to be honest ive seen very very few wear ,and while i allways fit a new staple they dont really work ,and dont really need to
