Would this be suitable for use on a Freelander MY2002 1.8 with the PG1 box

I'm not sure the end bit that connects to the master/slave cylinder pipe would be suitable

hmmmmm, mine has a ball and cup arrangement not a clevis pin..........

How about welding my Ball and cup arrangement onto the new release lever??

Any views/ideas would be much appriciated

The MGF uses a different, older style, clevis pinned slave cylinder. The Freelander and all later Rover cars use the cheap n nasty plastic master/ slave combo. This has a simple ball and cup arrangement.
2 drops of engine oil on the spindle every oil change is all that is needed to keep the release lever free.
