I've got a new slave/master cylinder to fit to my 2001 1.8 Freelander, but when I released the pedal from the master cyl, the pedal came up and extra 3/4 inches towards the dash. Is this right, or am I missing a 'stop' to prevent it coming up so far?

When you reconnect it should go back to levelish with the brake pedal.

Ok thanks I'll keep my fingers crossed for when I get it back together, I just thought there might be a stop for the pedal or something.
