My first minor problem

As above interior lights still turn on
Every time the ignition is turned off the clock stops thought it was a permanent live feed ?
Would there be spare wires around that area thoughts please think someone has swapped it with an ignition feed wire

the clock on mine runs slow but i havnt had time to check it but the other problem i have is the radio wont switch off when ignition is switched on so i have to disconnect it because it annoys me. any one any ideas on that? sorry to hijack thread
 
Clock is fed by fuse 1. Should be permanent live. Check RAVE it also feeds a few other things. Would think either the fuse is blown or there is a wiring cockup somewhere. Switching the ignition on or off should not influence the clock. My guess would be someone has played with the radio and cocked the wiring up. On 2000 models fuse 1 also feeds memory of low and mid point radios.

Fuse 1 would also feed the instrument display.....surely if the fuse had blown no displays....

As Wammers says, check radio wiring.
 
All feed wires from Fuse 1 are Purple. Other than the feeds for rear footwell lamp and window switch out station, which are Purple/blue. Low and mid line radios fitted to MY 2000 have two permanent live feeds, (Purple wire) on pins 2 and 4. Radio is powered on by relay 7 BECM White/pink to radio pin 7 with ignition at or better than position 1.

I'm going to live with it for now .
I've now worked out it just stops randomly after the ignition is turned off.
Hours later sometimes
It's not worth disturbing everything for a clock

Maybe the clock is knackered. You said it stopped when the ignition was turned off. That was taken as straight away, now you say it stop randomly after differing time lapses. That can only be a duff clock i would have thought. If everything else supplied by fuse 1 is functioning.

Clock has nothing to do with ignition switch, it is supplied with a permanent live from fuse 1 as are a few other things. If they function and clock doesn't it can only be clock itself.
 
Yea it's true warmers thing is every time I get in I reajust it
So I must
leave it and study it more
I thought it was just randomly turning itself of or maybe when it's goes to sleep were my thoughts .

If you look at the diagrams Fuse 1 provides nine separate things with a permanent power supply Clock, Radio memory, Key illumination instrument cluster and such. Unless you have to reset radio code every time you get in, and your foot well lamps don't work or key illumination or you don't get key in ignition warnings Etc. Then fuse one power is fine. It can only be feed to clock, ground from clock or clock itself.
