Thats gonna work out over £20 per door??? get on ebay and buy the proper seals... much cheaper

Cheers Steve

What he said....

I can't see the point of that when the real thing will be the right shape, size and length and about the same cost.

bearmachs are £15+VAT from paddocks... even pattern ones will work better than off the shelf universal one size fits nowt seals.

I read in one of the old LRO mags i got floating around, that LR didnt want to seal the defender too well, otherwise it would float too much, sinking aids traction to cross water.

Yeah you're all right sealing it would be an awful idea... was hoping 20 quid worth might have done me... diesel eats pretty much all of my pay so I try to save as much as possible with stuff like this... specially since im doing piston rings hg and big end bearings in summer and I know i need loads of money cause more than likely more stuff than that will need replaced

Cant see the difference seals would make ie genuine or otherwise. They all leak and if they didn't the water would get in somewhere else...or the wind....

Ended up shoving a piece of washer jet pipe into the seals to fatten em up till I have money for new ones mine are badly split and collapsing... this weekend im planning on fixing door hinges and siliconing every metal joint
