Hello All

I don't think I will go for this, but thought I ask anyway.

I have been offered a 2003 Facelift Discovery 2 Auto ES.

Only faults are wiper blades and windows, it has had a load of work done on the ACE including being re-filled if that makes sense.

But here is the catch it has done 270,000 miles

Price is £1700

Condition of the Discovery is not bad, all panels are straight and maybe a small amount of corrosion as expected on a 11 year old car, but nothing extreme.

Have you checked the rear chassis at least twice for rust?

A land rover specialist garage that I trust is selling it, I did ask about the rust and they said nothing serious, so I imagine a couple of years then it may need some TLC

Oh dear.
If your going down that road, can I suggest you read and digest the 'crock of ****' thread

270,000 miles in eleven years wow! that's 24,545 + a year. Perhaps it was a rental car once.

It'd runs smooth and just seen a similar mileage on autotrader for £4500 or there abouts, but still. I have a think but like I said looks unlikely

With 270,000 miles on it then I'd get it with the aim to take it to 500,000... More the merrier right?

LOL

As for the MOT not sure how long is on it yet, though it does have one. If I decide to go for it I will see if they can put a new on in it though, as if they so no alarm bells wll go off.
