hi all
can anyone provide a part/model number for a 2003 td4(bmw lump) alternator....
have put a new battery on and volts drop after about 20 mins of running..drains to a point where it wont start again

You could get a free test from halfrauds first I think mine puts 11-13v back in when checked the otherday

Have a look on Rimmer Bros site, as cost and number depends on age, ampage, and VIN.

was just gonna take alernator off/clean down and get a diode pack from auction site
and see how i get on...must add that there is no battery light coming on

Have you done a drop test on the battery? Wouldn't be the first new one to be duff also is it correct one?

i make 20 ton crushers in omagh and got a new h/d battery from our stores so may swap for another and try again
