My headlights have got very corroded around the rims and the lens part has gone opaque ...is it easy to change the headlights ?.. my haines manual only has bulb changing .:)

dead easy. take the square plastic plastic trim off as well as the side light and indicator, then there are a couple of screws to undo and you can twist the headlight off. you can change just the bulb or the whole assembly. if you've got a rubbery collar that protects the wiring at the back then it's worth putting a bit of lube on to keep the water out.

I changed mine for halogens a couple of weeks ago. I know it's a bit less traditional looking but they make a feck of a difference driving along country roads

Thanks for that , makes sense , i'll order some new headlights and then i'll have a go!:D

Flamin' heck , i've just looked at headlamps on the famous four parts thingy above , and there seems to be loads of different ones , why can't there be just one set , so that i don't have to struggle so much !:rolleyes::D

Hi folks just an update on me lights

before

after with wipac crystals

The bezels were completely corroded with one seized solid to one of the adjuster screws...but all new bezels fitted ...and lastly a massive thank you to Jamesmartin for giving me his invaluable knowledge and the confidence to continue once the light had pretty much fallen apart in my hand - so thanks James x.;)
