Hi all,

I'm struggling here, and yes I am an idiot with very little mechanical knowledge!

I have a 110 that was originally a 2.5NA I believe, but has been fitted with a 200tdi by a previous owner. This morning I went out to find yesterday at some point the alternator drive belt had snapped off, so I have purchased a new one. My problem is I am struggling to remove the fan belt (the one that goes around three wheels) to fit the new alternator belt.

Can anyone explain in very simple terms how to loosen this belt?

unbolt the power steering pump and move it this will slacken the belt so you can remove it
